The Blend is a small-group couples retreat in Walla Walla, WA — built around winery hopping, great meals, and meaningful conversations that happen along the way.
@thedaileyblendWalla Walla isn't just a pretty backdrop — it's one of the most celebrated wine regions in the country, known for bold Bordeaux blends. These blends are made by combining different grapes varietals, each with their own character, into something better together. That's not just winemaking. It's a partnership.
Over the weekend, you won't just visit wineries — you'll experience them. You'll spend the weekend with a small group of couples, take part in a guided winery hop with built-in prompts, and create two custom-blended bottles together.
It's fun, a little different, and something you'll actually remember — including a few conversations about your relationship you probably haven't had in a while.
The Blend is structured enough to make the weekend feel full — but never forced. You'll spend your time exploring wineries together, sharing meals with other couples, and having light, guided conversations woven into the experience.
A guided circuit of Walla Walla's best spots — well-known estates and intimate local finds — with built-in prompts and experiences that make each stop feel like more than just a tasting.
A hands-on blending workshop where you'll craft your own signature wine as a couple. You take two bottles home. Every time you open one, you'll remember the weekend.
Group dinners that turn into great conversations. A social, relaxed atmosphere throughout. The kind of weekend where you leave with new friends and a full stomach.
No long workshops. No pressure. Just a really well-planned weekend that makes connection feel easy — for you as a couple and with the group around you.
Not a formal wine tour. Not group therapy. Not a "sit in a circle and share your feelings" retreat. Just a really good weekend — one that happens to leave you closer than when you arrived.
Great wine and great connection aren't mutually exclusive. You want both — and this delivers both.
You're at home with a glass in hand and a good conversation going. This weekend is built for people like you.
Life gets busy. You haven't drifted — you've just been occupied. This is the weekend that brings you back, without the pressure.
Small group, shared experiences, natural conversation. You'll leave having made real connections — not just exchanged numbers.
Most couples who come aren't trying to fix anything — they just want a better kind of weekend together.
A mix of in-town moments and time out at the wineries. Equal parts fun, connection, and something a little different.
Settle into the retreat and meet your fellow couples over a curated cocktail hour — local wines, charcuterie, no agenda. The evening closes with a private chef-prepared dinner at the house.
Start slow. A private yoga session on the retreat grounds gets you present and unhurried. Afterward, unstructured time — explore, rest, or simply sit together with coffee.
Four wineries. Four conversations. Guided by prompt cards that spark the kind of talk you forget to have at home. This includes a hands-on blending workshop where you'll craft your own signature blends together — and leave with custom-labeled bottles that's yours to keep.
A reserved evening at one of Walla Walla's finest restaurants — private table, delicious food, exceptional wine list. No check at the end. Just the night.
The weekend closes with a farewell breakfast of local baked goods, good coffee, and easy goodbyes. Leave with full stomachs, your blended bottles in hand, and the kind of weekend you'll still be talking about on the drive home.

"Sometimes the best conversations don't happen in a workshop — they happen over a great bottle of wine, in a beautiful place, with the right people."
How It Started
My wife and I have been together since we were teenagers — through big moves, career changes, and the chaos of life. We've had our ups and downs, but we've always chosen each other.
A few years ago, we started carving out intentional weekends away — time to reset and be intentional with each other. These trips became something we looked forward to — a chance to have fun, slow down together, and take an honest look at what was working in our relationship and what could use some attention. The Blend grew directly out of that.
About Me
I've spent over a decade in customer-facing roles in tech — bringing people together, reading the room, and knowing when to guide a conversation and when to let it happen. I'm also a certified yoga instructor, which taught me presence, intention, and how to slow down just enough to notice what's really going on. That mix is what shapes The Blend: structured but never rigid, thoughtful but never forced.
I created The Blend to give other couples a version of what those weekends gave us: time that's actually fun, intentional without being heavy, and genuinely different from the usual retreat.
How much do retreats cost?
Most retreats fall between $3,000–$3,500 per couple, depending on the location and accommodations.
What's included in the price?
Everything for the weekend — meals, the stay, and the experience. You just show up.
Where will we be staying?
Each retreat is hosted in a spacious, privately rented home — carefully selected to give the group plenty of room to spread out and unwind. Think hot tubs, fire pits, and fully equipped kitchens. Amenities vary by retreat, but the standard is consistently high.
How does booking work?
You'll apply through our application form, which lists the available retreat options. Once accepted, you'll receive full details and next steps to secure your spot.
What is the cancellation policy?
Deposits are non-refundable, but will be applied to a future retreat if you cancel with at least one month's notice.
What if we want to come with another couple?
Great! If you come as a group of four, both couples receive a 10% discount. Just indicate this in the application.
Do you plan private retreats?
Yes — reach out by email and we'll talk through what's possible. Private retreats are shaped around what you're looking for.
Think of it as parallel play: you're in it together with the group for the energy, the laughter, and the shared moments — but the real magic happens between the two of you.
